Monthly wrap-ups

May 2021 wrap-up

My wrap up for May

I was so sick for half of May, which really sucked.  BUT it meant I read some extra books, while I was feeling sorry for myself on the couch 😄  I got through 19 books!

My favourites for this month were:

The Family Tree:  A unique and intense murder mystery about a serial killer and a girl’s discovered link through an ancestry DNA kit

The Road Trip: A super fun, and often hilarious, contemporary about a forced road trip with some brilliant characters

A Lair of Bones:  An incredible, vicious book, full of monsters, trials and high stakes

Death & Croissants: A laugh out loud, quirky British style humour story.  Part rom-com and part mystery with plenty of twists.

I Thought You Said This Would Work:  I absolutely loved this book. Two ex-friends go on a road trip to rescue a sick friend’s dog with hilarious and emotional outcomes.

Pride & Premeditation:  I’d highly recommend this one to lovers of Stalking Jack the Ripper

The Pick Up:  Sequel to The Drop Off.  More fun and drama at the school gates from the characters we met and loved in the first book

Defy the Night:  I know this is a highly anticipated one for many of us and it definitely lived up to the hype for me!

As usual, clicking on the pics below will take you to my reviews (Some reviews may not be live on my blog yet as I post them on the book’s release date due to publisher’s requests, so keep your eye on my blog for those reviews in June)  🙂

Let me know in the comments what your favourite read was for May!

  1. Ok Jen you make me want to pick up the Road Trip again. It was on hold as I couldn’t fall into it as easily as I did with The Switch.
